Now this project is finally done :D
I used Blender for modeling the rough shape and sculpted the details in Sculptris, reduced the geometry of copies in Blender.
Imported into Substance Painter and baked the normal and height information from the high- to the low-poly versions.
For the texturing I made the brick and the rock surface in Substance Designer.
Composited the scene in Blender.
Renders of the scenes were done in Blender. The renders of the individual objects were done in Substance Painter using Iray.
I tried 40 different camera settings. 16 of them made it to the final version.
The total render time of the final images exceeded 40 hours.
Postprocessing was done in Blender and color correction in GIMP.
