Heya guys!
Since my materials in 2D so far look really matt I did a study on metallic surfaces. For this I made some helmet concepts that I'm not proud of (need to practice some armor concepts as well) and explored different surface qualities. I started with the shiny one which is basically defined by just the environment reflection. Next up was rusted, grimy bronze. Lastly metal lit by multiple light sources. I also tried to add some chipped paint in form of the red ring.
